"All available staff rallied round"

Reviewed March 28th, 2014 by Ke S
Although a few years ago, my family stayed for two weeks in the Ramada, we choose this hotel because of its close proximity to Disney, and not far from the Ponderosa Steakhouse, where we did the majority of our eating.
We did however encounter a hurricane, when all parks, shopping malls closed down and locals were evacuated from the coastal areas.
We followed the management advice, which was presented via a mail drop through. Our room door.
Meal time was take it or leave it, and was prepared by what staff the management could muster. It was not cordon blu, but none the less edible.
Returning to our hotel room, we thanked the evacuated locals to attend their hurricane parties.
It was an exceptional effort by the management, and would certainly stay here again should we return.

"Valentines Birthday Vacation"

Reviewed March 23rd, 2014 by MichelleT6
I was a little skeptical of the property at first when I booked online, trying to find a value when every other property I was looking at was well over $90-$100 a night, but what sold me was the indoor pool, and it turned out to be very nice. Also I liked the whirlpool. I was somewhat disappointed in the clerk at check in after I had been driving all day was very exhausted and hungry, got in at about 8:30 pm, and the guy was very short and rude. Then the room overall was nice, however the bathroom could have used much work in replacing the mirror and the shower curtain was too thin, water wet floor.and the floor did not look clean to begin with.

Water Parks in the Orlando/Kissimmee Area

Aquatica

Whether you're interested in relaxing in your own private cabana watching the fish, the birds, the water, the flora and the fauna--as well as taking in everything else the water park has to offer; want to meet all the animals--including beautiful black and white dolphins; or prefer the slides and rides designed to entertain or to thrill, Aquatica is indeed a water world made just for your family's fun.

Wet 'n Wild

Spend an action-packed day with the family at Wet 'n Wild water park. Cool off in the park's giant Wave Pool, then take a turn on one of their thrill rides, such as the Brain Wash, an extreme tube ride with a 53-foot vertical drop into a giant funnel finish. Grab your family or friends and experience the adrenaline rush of one of Wet n' Wild's multi-person rides, such as The Flyer, a four-passenger toboggan ride down a curvy, splashy water slide.

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Featuring huge and fast waterslides as well as attractions for younger kids, Blizzard Beach offers refreshing entertainment for the whole family. Grab onto your raft and enjoy the waves in the one-acre Melt-Away Bay wave pool. Zip down the 90-foot-tall Slush Gusher slide, which takes you over two humps down Mount Gushmore. The Summit Plummet attraction, the world's tallest and fastest free-fall body slide, offers a 12-story drop down into a darkened tunnel where riders achieve speeds of 50 to 60 miles per hour. For a ride the family can enjoy together, try Teamboat Springs, a family raft ride down a huge slide featuring a series of waterfalls.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

With grass huts, palm trees and a water-gushing volcano that erupts every 30 minutes, Typhoon Lagoon sets the scene for a rollicking water park experience your family will love. Speed down a white water slide on a multi-rider raft on the Crush 'n' Gusher, a collection of three waterslides with lots of sharp turns and fast drops sure to keep your heart pounding. Go on a snorkeling adventure in Shark Reef, where you and your family can swim amongst leopard and bonnethead sharks, as well as stingrays and tropical fish, all surrounded by colorful coral reef. For younger children, Ketchakiddee Creek offers small waterslides, fountains, waterfalls and a mini rapids ride. Need a break from all the action? Sandy White Beach provides a sunny haven complete with palm trees and hammocks, perfect for a rest between the water park's fun attractions.
